Bio
Dr. Alvaro Subero-Saenz joined Zayed University in 2021 and joined the College of Interdisciplinary Studies in 2023. Being initially based in Abu Dhabi and subsequently transferred to Dubai, as a faculty at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, he primarily taught and coordinated Business Communication (BUS207) and Corporate Communication (BUS407) for over two years. Before moving to the United Arab Emirates, he taught academic and professional English and business communication in Spain, China, and Kuwait. Dr. Subero-Saenz holds a bachelor's degree in English Philology, three master's degrees in economic internationalization and integration, international trade, and a Ph.D. in English Applied Linguistics from the Universitat Jaume I (Spain). His doctoral thesis analysed annual reports issued by Premier League football clubs. His main research interests are academic and professional English, business English (e.g., presentations), and corporate communication (e.g., crisis communication and corporate social responsibility).
