Bio
Afroditi Tsioufi has been an instructor of English at Zayed University since 2016. She holds a BA in English Literature and German and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). She started her teaching career in London in 2000 and continued teaching in various educational settings in Greece, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. She taught composition courses in the Department of English and Writing Studies, UC, and in the Language Studies Department, CHSS. She is currently teaching Expressive Clarity at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies. In addition to her teaching role, Afroditi is the Al Waha Academic Support Zone coordinator and one of her passions is to support students with their academic work. Her research interests include vocabulary learning strategies, facilitating learner autonomy, and the science of learning.
