Bio
Natalya Rietmuller received her Master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Auckland in New Zealand in 2014 and her BA from the University of Waikato in 1995. After working in ESL environments for many years, Natalya began teaching with the Academic Bridge Program in 2018 then joined the Writing Studies department in 2020. She earned her FHEA fellowship in June 2021. Natalya values student support and actively provides one-to-one tutoring for students in the Al Waha academic support zone. She is committed to empowering students in their academic goals. Her research interests concern academic literacy for first-semester students, contemplative pedagogy, mindfulness's role in developing academic literacy and writing center research.
