Bio

Nicolina Kamenou is a Professor of Human Resource Management (HRM) and has been employed at Zayed University since August 2016.

Nicolina has been teaching for more than 20 years and has taught a variety of management courses, including Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Organizational Change, Diversity Management and Qualitative research methods.

Nicolina’s research interests lie in the areas of International Human Resource Management, Gender and Diversity Management, Cross-Cultural Management, Human Rights, Career Management and Organisational Sociology. She is currently looking at cross-cultural issues surrounding HR policies and practices and work-life balance in the Middle-eastern context. She has published widely in highly-rated, peer-reviewed academic journals. Nicolina has been awarded a number of external and competitive grants as Principal Investigator or Co-investigator. This included grants from the British Council in collaboration with the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), the UK Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF), the UK Equality and Human Rights Commission and the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization.
