Dr. Sawsan Skaf is an Assistant Professor of Arabic Language at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi (2008 – present). Prior to joining Zayed University, she assumed several leadership positions in higher and secondary education. She was the principle of Emirates National School for Girls (2007 - 2008), acting principle (2006-2007), vice principle (2003-2006), and Head of Arabic and Islamic Studies department (1999-2003) in Al-Shoudub British School for Girls in Abu-Dhabi. Dr. Skaf also worked as Arabic Language lecturer at United Arab Emirates University for seven years (1991-1998), and Arabic Language Instructor at Institute of Teachers’ Preparedness, Damascus-Syria, for two years (1989-1991).
Dr. Skaf obtained her Ph.D in Education from Tunisia University, Tunisia, in 2006, her M.A in Education from Omdurman University, Sudan, in 1997, and her B.A in Arabic Literature from Damascus University, Syria, in 1976.
