Bio
Dr. Fatima H. Bailey is a full-time faculty, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses at Zayed University. She is keen and experienced in pre-service teacher training and preparation programs for ECE, elementary and secondary education. Her twenty years of expertise and experience encompasses effective pedagogical leadership, innovative curriculum design and instruction, implementing school reform/school improvement initiatives, cultivating teacher leadership, capacity building towards classroom readiness, PD training and developing PLCs. Prior to joining ZU, Dr. Bailey held positions as a school administrator, educational leader, and educational consultant for P-12 schools in the UAE and USA. In addition to her work at ZU,
Dr. Bailey also provides mentorship, training and professional development for in-service teachers in the Ta’Alouf Program for Career Based Teacher Development, through the Al Jalila Foundation. She has an active research agenda and collaborates internationally on creative research projects. She attends and presents research findings at local, regional and international symposiums, conferences and forums.
Dr. Bailey is a recipient of the prestigious Gordon Allport Prize for Outstanding Papers on Intergroup Relations, Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues and of the distinguished California Legislature: "Teachers of Excellence Award".
