Introduction
My higher education degrees are in Middle East Studies (B.A. from Bir Zeit, 1981), Social-Political Philosophy (M.A. from UW-Madison, 1986) and History (Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, 2008). As an academic, I have worked in several universities in Palestine, the USA, and the UAE. My teaching and research interests revolve around Islamic History and the Middle East.
