Introduction

Graduated from Hacettepe University, Turkey with a Masters degree in English Linguistics, Nalan worked in  Ankara University, Turkey  as an  EFL instructor and then she worked in Bilkent University, Turkey in the Vocational School as a Curriculum and Testing Advisor in Tourism and Hotel Management. She worked there for five years and then moved to Brunei Darussalam where she worked as an EAP Instructor in the University of Brunei Darussalam. After four years working there, she moved to Dubai, UAE and worked in the Dubai Women’s College and later the Emirates Aviation College training the Cadet Pilots and Civil Aviation Managers in Business English. Currently, Nalan works as an Instructor in the Language Studies Department teaching Academic Language and Literacies and Business Communication skills. Also she has provided university wide academic support in  the Al Waha Zone (an Academic Support Center).

Nalan attained the Certificate of Achievement in 2017) in recognition of her  outstanding academic performance in teaching and  also received the prestigious status of the Fellow  of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) in 2018.
