Introduction

Professor Ibrahim research includes studies related to the development of UAE society, with a focus on social, economic, and urban life in the UAE’s cities such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah. Aldarmaki has special interests in developing creative ideas to improve life in the cities and villages of the UAE. He actively participated in generating creative ideas in a variety of projects to develop the performance of Emirati cities and their institutions and has published writings on this. He also led an analysis examining the effects of globalization on the social and religious aspects of the UAE using different dimensions. He has experience in Islamic and Arab cultural dimensions in a global context. Dr. Ibrahim holds a Ph.D from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.

He worked as head of the Research Department in the Abu Dhabi Municipality and then as Head of the Emirati Studies Department at the Higher Colleges of Technology from 2015 to 2018 before joining Zayed University. Aldarmaki participates in Ministry of Education committees related to authoring and evaluating curricula and evaluating questions for social studies teachers’ licenses.
