Introduction

Dr. Nayel AlOmran is an Associate Professor of Comparative Public Law in the Department of Legal Studies at Zayed University (ZU) since Aug 1st, 2023 till now. He teaches in graduate and undergraduate legal studies.  He joined ZU as an Assistant Professor on August 18, 2019. Prior to joining ZU, he was an Assistant Professor at Al Ain University in UAE from 2015 to 2019, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Malaya (UM) - Malaysia between 2013 to 2015. Dr. Nayel has over 17 years of teaching at various universities, including Zayed University, Al Ain University and the University of Malaya.

  1. From September 15, 2017, to April 7, 2019, I served as the Public Law Department rapporteur at Al Ain University's Faculty of Law.
  2. From September 15, 2017, to 2018, the chairman of the ethics committee at Al Ain University's College of Law.

Research and Professional Activities

As a researcher, I have an exceptional track record of publishing in highly qualified, extensively read, peer-reviewed papers that are published abroad. My work has been published in over thirty prominent journals. Because of my writings, I have complied with the standards to be qualified to teach master’s programs. Numerous prestigious peer-reviewed journals have published my work (Scopus). I am still working on research projects.

My research agenda includes the Constitutional Protection of Rights and Freedoms against Incrimination and Punishment; Constitutional Action; Electronic Disciplinary Violations; Digital Evidence Before the Administrative Courts, Electronic Administrative Contract Certain Knowledge of Administrative Decisions Issued by Artificial Intelligence; the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Administrative Decisions; and International Public Law.
