Introduction
Wafa Zoghbor is an Associate Professor in Applied Linguistics. She has been working for Zayed University since January 2012. She has also attained several leadership certificates including the International Scholarship of Leadership and teaching and learning in Higher Education with the University of British Colombia in Canada. Her expertise in applied linguistics covers phonology, English as a lingua franca (ELF), English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) in higher education, and sociolinguistics. Dr. Zoghbor has written on these topics in journals such as System, Intellectual Discourse, World Englishes, and Asian Englishes, and serves as a reviewer and manuscript editor for several refereed journals.
