Introduction

I have worked in several different countries in higher education and business coaching, including the UAE, Russia, and Scotland. I have taught at Zayed University since 2013 and have worked in different colleges, including the Academic Bridge Program, University College, College of Business, and College of Humanities and Social Sciences. I have occupied different roles, such as EGAP 4 Coordinator, Male Campus Supervisor, and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs during that time.

Research and Professional Activities

Research interests: My current research interests are Sydney School genre pedagogy, Legitimation Code Theory, and feedback literacy.

Current Projects: Examining how feedback constructs subject positions for our learners, using appraisal theory, and how the discussion of low-stakes non-academic topics in online classes helps learners rehearse for academic contributions.
