Introduction

I joined ZU in 2012, after working for many years in language teaching and teacher education in Europe and Turkey. From 1995 I worked in educational publishing, first as a commissioning editor in the English Language Teaching Department of Cambridge University Press and later as a course manager in the School of Education at the Open University in the UK. I returned to teaching in 2001 and taught EAP and ESP at universities in Turkey and Germany until 2012.

My interests include teacher education and learner independence.
