Introduction

Prof. Anas Abu Ata was promoted to full professor in 2014. He holds a PhD in Islamic Law (Sharia) Philosophy (Jurisprudence & Legislation) obtained in 1994. He held several administrative positions including: Dean of Islamic Law (Sharia) faculty, Dean of the Islamic Studies Institute, Chairman of Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) & its Legal Sources.

1- ph.D . Doctor of philosophy (shariah ).Faculty of Islamic studies , National University of Malaysia , 1994 .

2- M.A. Legislation law, Faculty of Graduate studies , The  University of Jordan , 1990 .

3- B.A. Jurisprudence and  Legislation , Faculty of sharia , The University of Jordan, 1987

His research interests include studying contemporary jurisprudential issues.

His most recent paper accepted for publication in 2019 is a joint paper entitled "A Comparative Study of Restrictions of Working in Media Jobs in Law & Islamic Law".
