Introduction

 Dr.Mona Farag is an Adjunct Assistant Professor on Middle Eastern Politics and History at Zayed University. She has produced a number of publications related to her fields of expertise and is currently working towards publishing her first book

She has published in a number of journals, including the Journal of Contemporary Arab affairs and the Journal of International women’s studies, and is an active member of the American Political Science Association and the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies

Through the course of her professional career she has researched the relationship between the Trucial States in the Arabian Gulf and the British government through the analysis of political and business agreements for the National Archives in the United Arab Emirates. Her research efforts on American foreign policy and analysis of publications by American think tanks also resulted in the guideline for topics of pertinent discussion regarding UAE foreign policy

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the American University in Cairo, with a specialisation in political economics

Master’s degree from the University of Windsor in Canada with a focus on international relations and environmental studies

 PhD from the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter
