Bio
Dr. Adam Jeffers is Assistant Professor at Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and Master of Arts in Education from San Diego State University. He earned his Doctorate of Education with an emphasis in Teacher Education in Multicultural Societies from the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education. His areas of interest are academic integrity, early academic experiences of Emirati males and academic experiences of incarcerated African American males. He has extensive experience teaching and learning in multicultural environments as well as in the United States of America. Dr. Jeffers’ work focuses on cultural competency, teaching and learning in urban education, culturally relevant pedagogy, mentoring and professional development.
