Introduction
Assistant professor in Arabic department in College of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zayed University. He obtained a PhD in Arabic language and literature on Arabic linguistics from Manouba Faculty of Letters, Arts and Humanities with highest distinction in 2012. The thesis was entitled Polysemy in the Arabic Language- An Analytical Linguistic Study. He is interested in linguistic studies, cognitive semantics and pragmatics. He is member of editorial board in some Arabic refereed journals, and in the Association of Arabic Lexicology in Tunis.
He published many books among them: Symbolic Systems in Language and Cognition, (in collaboration with Alseoudi, N. (edit). Dar Konooz Al Marefa, Amman 2020, Studies in cognitive linguistics, Brain, Language and Reality, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Center for the Arabic Language 2019, Polysemy in the Arabic Language: A cognitive and Lexical Oriented Approach, New Book Publishing, Beirut 2015, and Semantics and Semiotics Issues, Dar Konooz Al Marefa, Amman 2015. His latest translated published book is Narrative Social Structure, by Recep Şentürk, Dar Josor, Beirut, 2018 (from English into Arabic). And he published many articles in refereed journals, as: “Metonymy: essay to understand its status in cognitive linguistics”, Arabic Linguistics, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Center for the Arabic Language, Issue 5 2017, “From polysemy to meaning change: lexical cognitive perspectives”, Fusul, Cairo, Issue 100 2017, and “Meaning between unity and plurality: semantic approach”, Studies in Humanities, Gafsa, Tunisia, Issue 4, 2018, and (In collaboration with Bensouf, M.) “Introduction to The Neurological Theory of Language (NTL)”, Linguistique Appliquée, Algeria, Issue 7, 2020.
