Introduction

Assistant professor in Arabic department in College of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zayed University. He obtained a PhD in Arabic language and literature on Arabic linguistics from Manouba Faculty of Letters, Arts and Humanities with highest distinction in 2012. The thesis was entitled Polysemy in the Arabic Language- An Analytical Linguistic Study. He is interested in linguistic studies, cognitive semantics and pragmatics. He is member of editorial board in some Arabic refereed journals, and in the Association of Arabic Lexicology in Tunis.

He published many books among them: Symbolic Systems in Language and Cognition, (in collaboration with Alseoudi, N. (edit).  Dar Konooz Al Marefa, Amman 2020, Studies in cognitive linguistics, Brain, Language and Reality, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Center for the Arabic Language 2019, Polysemy in the Arabic Language: A cognitive and Lexical Oriented Approach, New Book Publishing, Beirut 2015, and Semantics and Semiotics Issues, Dar Konooz Al Marefa, Amman 2015. His latest translated published book is Narrative Social Structure, by Recep Şentürk, Dar Josor, Beirut, 2018 (from English into Arabic).
