Dr. Ahmed Salem was invited to International Webinar and Book Launch "Middle East in Focus: Peace, Prosperity, and Democracy in Muslim World" (online) on 23 March 2021 at University of Indonesia, Jakarta. This webinar aimed at enlightening the audience about social and political changes and conditions in the Middle East and the Muslim World in general and the processes of peace, prosperity and democratization in particular. A book on this topic in Bahasa Language was launched during the event.  A lively discussion and rich Q&A session followed the main speeches.

The event was inaugurated by the Director of School of Strategic and Global Studies, Universitas Indonesia. Other invited speakers included Assoc Prof. Khairudin Aljunaid, Faculty of Art and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore, and Assoc. Prof. Yon Machmudi, Head of Middle East and Islamic Studies Program, SKSG, Universitas Indonesia.

More than 200 attendees, mostly students in University of Indonesia, as well as other students, researchers, lecturers, scholars and the general public.
