Cultural Reflections from the United Arab Emirates UAE

Cultural Reflections from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a College of Communication and Media Sciences class project displaying interviews and photographs done by students in the College’s undergraduate concentration of Tourism and Cultural Communications.

This project helped 20 young Emiratis reconnect with the older generation and learn more about their heritage. The book is divided into three sections: The Emirati Family, The Community and The Environment.  It  features interviews with parents, grandparents and close relatives and photographs from family and personal albums.

A special thanks to co-editors Zayed University Associate Professor Filareti Kotsi and founder and president of the Academy of International Business Middle East North Africa (MENA) chapter Melodena Stephens Balakrishnan for their dedication to completing the project.
