Patricia Johnston has been teaching at ZU since it opened in 1998 and is a University College academic advisor in DAAD. 

Her specialty is teaching English as a foreign language and she was editor of the first ZU yearbook; co-editor of Girlzone, the first student magazine; and served as faculty advisor to student publications at Dubai Women’s College.

She contributed articles and edited the quarterly information magazine; this is Qatar, for the Ministry of Information in Doha. Ms. Patricia received her Bachelor of Arts in economics and political history from the University of Warwick, UK, and her Master of Arts in English language teaching from the University of Sunderland, UK.
