Biography
Zelal Wattar (MSc) is an Instructor in the College of Communication and Media Sciences at Zayed University. She has more than 25 years of experience and has held faculty positions across several universities in United Kingdom, Syria and the UAE. Zelal joined Zayed University in 2011 and specialises in various fields including Graphic Design, Web Development, and Information Technology.
She received her BSc in Computer Science and an advanced diploma in Automatic Control Engineering from Aleppo University, Syria. She then achieved a Master in Internet Technology from Aston University, UK. She also holds a Cambridge Graphic Design certificate from the UK.
In addition to teaching, she has a wide consultancy experience in the domain of Web Development and Graphic Design. She is particularly interested in working with students on creative web design and blogging. Many of Zelal’s students project outcomes have appeared in multimedia platforms and some have achieved national awards.
Zelal’s main research interests are Web Accesibility, Multimedia Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction.
