Sascha Ritter teaches film/video production courses, event management, as well as the college’s introductory course.

Mr. Ritter is the Director of the Zayed University Middle East Film Festival (ZUMEFF). A student film festival that provides a rare showcase for young Arabs to exhibit their creativity and express their ideas and cultural heritage.

He gained substantial experience while working for the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Abu Dhabi where he designed and organized a special tailored Film Visit Program for Filmmakers from the UAE to the Berlin International Film Festival.

Prior to his move to Abu Dhabi, he was working as a Lecturer for Video and Editing Classes at the Media Studies Department at the University of Bonn in Germany. In addition, he launched and ran a digital communication and production company and was the CEO of an independent music label. His love to music also led him to organize Germany’s biggest Open Air Music Festival with up to 200.000 visitors for five years. Besides his academic studies at the University of Bonn, Mr. Ritter acted as the Station Manager for the College Radio Station.

He also worked as a Freelance Journalist for various Music Magazines. Mr. Ritter received his Master of Arts in North-American Studies, Media Sciences and Sociology from the University of Bonn in Germany and is currently working on his Dissertation.
