John Little, Assistant Professor

John Little trained at Montana State University in Science and Natural History Filmmaking, is a documentary film producer and theoretician.

Little also holds undergraduate and graduate training in applied physics, which, together with his passion for filmmaking, inspire him to produce science content. His production credits include science programming for The Science Channel, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel as well as local broadcasters including PBS, ABC, CBS and NBC. He has also produced science media for museums and science education.

While serving as a professor in the Division of Communication at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, John was awarded a Fulbright Senior Scholarship in 2008 to perform media research and serve as a media professor in Muscat, Oman. John continues his research nonfiction film, how the genre is influenced both by technology and fiction film and how nonfiction is used to innovate science communication.
