Britt Christensen teaches media writing, ethics, and law courses in the College of Communication and Media Sciences. His research focuses on new media and sociopolitical stability, peace, and international relations. Britt earned his Ph.D. in Media and Public Affairs with a minor in Political Science from the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University.
His dissertation research focused on the interdependent relationship among media systems, new ICTs, sociopolitical stability, intrastate conflict and peace, government type, and economic development.
He has worked as a freelance writer and editor with work featured in several U.S. media publications. He also worked in sports television production with ESPN, ABC Sports, and Fox Sports Net. Additionally, he has marketing and sales experience in the financial and insurance industries.
