Bio

Tim Daly is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the ZU College of Business, Dubai campus. Before undertaking his doctoral studies he worked in the tourism and market research industries. He has previously worked as an academic at the University of Akron (Ohio, USA), the University of Western Australia and at the United Arab Emirates University. Dr Tim has published in international peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Business Research, Journal of Interactive Advertising, Assessment, the  Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, and Tourism Management. In 2013 he won the University of Western Australia Business School’s Teaching Excellence Award, as well as three best-in-track awards at ANZMAC.

Dr Tim’s primary teaching focus is on digital marketing. In conjunction with Dr Damien in Abu Dhabi, the Digital Marketing course has been designed to be a steppingstone into industry for marketing and entrepreneurship students. Each student in the class completes at least one professional certification, and get hands on experience with search engine optimization, content creation, social media marketing, online advertising, analytics and email marketing. This experience has been with both real local business clients (such as a Dubai psychology clinic, a UAE-based sporting goods retailer, and a local high-end European car garage) or, most recently, using the UAE review website that has been created specifically for this course.
