Bio

Dr. Omer Farooq is an associate professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at Zayed University, UAE. He earned his doctoral degree in Strategic Management (CSR and Stakeholders Management) from the University of Aix-Marseille - France in June 2011. Prior to joining Zayed University in January 2020, he held various positions: associate professor at UAE University, Assistant Professor at Kedge Business School, France, director research and graduate programs at University of Lahore, and academic coordinator at COMSATS University.
Omer studies corporate social responsibility, behavioral ethics in organizations, and women entrepreneurship in developing countries. His research has appeared in the elite management journal including Academy of Management Journal (AMJ), and Journal of Business Ethics, among other. He is also the author of two book chapters published in edited books.
Omer has presented his research at numerous international conferences and has been nominated for Dexter Award at AOM 2017, and Temple Award at AIB 2018.  He has also won the Best Paper Award at 4th CSR Conference in 2010 hosted by Humblot University Berlin. He has delivered keynote speeches and professional development workshops at many international conferences.
Omer has served as editorial board member and/or reviewer of many leading management journals such as Journal of Management, Organization Science, Journal of Business Ethics, Industrial Marketing Management, Career Development International, and Journal of Management Science.
