Bio

Marc joined Zayed University in January, 2010 as an Instructor in the Legal and Ethical Environment of Business in the College of Business. Since then, he was promoted to Assistant Professor in August of 2011. Marc earned his Juris Doctorate degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in 1999 and a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Economics from the University of Miami in 1996. He was admitted to practice law in the state of Florida in September, 2001 and is currently a member of the Florida Bar as well as the Marital and Family Law section.

In addition to his professional duties, he has served as a Volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused, neglected, and abandoned children in Miami-Dade County through the State of Florida Guardian Ad Litem Program of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit from June of 1997 to January of 2001. He also served a two year term as a Council Member with the Cocoanut Grove Village Council and on the Rules and Forms Committee of the Florida Bar.

Research and Professional Activities

His main research interests are in family law, corporate social responsibility, and ethics education. He is currently serving on the curriculum committee of the college and on the Policy Committee at the American Community School in Abu Dhabi.  He is also a member of the Florida Bar for practicing attorneys.
