Bio

Karim Hegazy is an Assistant Professor in Accounting at the College of Business since August 2019. He completed his Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance at Middlesex University UK (2008), his Master’s in Finance and Accounting at Brunel University (2009) and his PhD at the University of Manchester (2015). Moreover, he is an Affiliate of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA) since 2011. In 2018 he became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) by completing his Teaching Certificate Degree. Previously he has taught at several UK institutions including Liverpool Business School, Manchester Business School and Edge Hill University amongst others.

He is a member of multiple Accounting Associations, an examiner and marker for professional Accounting bodies and a reviewer for a number of international recognised journals.  In terms of research his papers have been published in international journals and edited volumes such as Managerial Auditing Journal, Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, Corporate Ownership and Control and Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change.
