The UAE’s first Stuttering Awareness Day event was hosted by Stutter UAE in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

Held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, the event was organised by Stutter UAE, a support group formed by Farah Al Qaissieh with the help of Faisal Al Hammadi, a friend and fellow stutterer.

The event included a variety of discussions from stutterers and speech pathologists along with real stories from individuals that stutter.

Stutter UAE was inaugurated two years ago to change the notion of “we are alone with our stutter” with a positive touch.
