Aisha Almuhaisni, Hend Almheiri, and Maryam Khoory (Team Risk Takers), fourth year Finance undergraduate students at Dubai campus, achieved the first place in Zayed University’s Bloomberg Trading Competition which was administered by the Finance department as part of UAE Innovates 2025, and it included 16 teams of ZU students (each team comprising 3 students) competing against other, to experience first-hand and what real-world investing looks and feels like. The teams defined market assumptions, developed a return-generating strategy, and executed trades within a closed network. This competition provided the students with a unique opportunity to engage in real-world experiential learning, enabled them to build marketable skills and the knowledge needed to compete in the job market, and allowed non-finance students to get experience on what real-world investing looks and feels like.
