On Tuesday and Wednesday October 24^th and 25^th, the College of Business had a unique opportunity to host Dr. Jarrad Harford, a distinguished professor and world-renowned scholar in Corporate Finance, who conducted several professional workshops and seminars with faculty and students in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi campuses. Dr. Harford presented his latest research " Analyst Career Concerns, Effort Allocation, and Firms’ Information Environment”. In addition, he led a discussion with the faculty on how to publish in top tiered journals focusing on how to exceed in academic writing. Dr Harford's lecture to the students was about mergers and acquisitions, focusing on the broader impact of merger activity and why mergers matter.

Professor Harford currently serves as a Managing Editor of the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Journal of Corporate Finance. To know more about Prof Jarrad click on
