College of Business Students Gain Insights into UAE Corporate Tax

The session, held on April 8, 2025, welcomed guest speaker Mr. Siddharth Ravi, Partner at MSI Alnoman & Ravi, Chartered Accountants. It was conducted in person at the Abu Dhabi campus and livestreamed to Dubai, ensuring inclusive participation across both locations.
Mr. Ravi, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and IFRS expert, shared professional insights into the UAE’s evolving corporate tax landscape. The presentation addressed key concepts such as taxable persons, residency classification, Free Zone incentives, tax-exempt income, and calculation of taxable income and payable amounts—offering students a comprehensive overview of practical tax considerations in the UAE business environment.
The seminar attracted strong engagement from both students and faculty, reflecting growing interest in corporate taxation as it becomes an increasingly important area of focus in the region.
