The College of Business was honored to host Professor Hisham Farag, Professor of Finance and Director of Research at Birmingham Business School, UK, on October 7, 2025. Professor Farag, who also serves as the Founding Director of the Sustainable Financial Innovation Research Centre (SFIC) and Editor of the Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment, delivered a thought-provoking research seminar titled “Cybercrime Laws and Firm Valuation: Worldwide Evidence.” The presentation explored how cybercrime legislation across 83 countries influences firm valuation and corporate outcomes. Faculty members from both the Dubai and Abu Dhabi campuses attended in person and virtually, engaging in stimulating discussions about research collaboration and future scholarly partnerships.
