Finance undergraduate students Laila Al Reqabi and Maryam Juma (The Palm Portfolio) won the second place in ADNOC X BLOOMBERG Trading Challenge which was held during April to June 2025. Competing against 400+ students across the UAE Universities, under the supervision of Professor Konstantinos Syriopoulos, the team built and actively managed a UAE equity portfolio, applying institutional strategies, delivering a 6.09% return on deployed capital amid a period of highly volatile markets, reflecting disciplined data driven decision-making, strategic thinking, collaborative effort, and applying experiential learning of finance related curriculum taught in the Bachelors of Finance @ Zayed University. Moreover, Team FX Lions: Amanual Ezra, Mahra M., and Muaded Alkaabi were also able to make it to the top 5, reflecting an outstanding performance, especially that it was a fierce competition against students from University of Birmingham, New York University, and UAE University.
