Bio

Serah Mathew Joined Zayed University as Partnerships Specialist in College of Interdisplinary Studies (Abu Dhabi Campus). A partnership specialist plays a crucial role in developing and managing partnerships with various stakeholders. Her role involves overseeing the Partner Challenge Program with the goal of bridging the gap between academia and the workforce. Serah guides students through the journey of applying their academic knowledge into solving real-world challenges with industries. The program therefore focuses on ensuring students develop transferable skills and are therefore ready for the future of work. Through mentorship, collaboration, and continuous learning, she strive to inspire the next generation and contribute to the advancement of the industry. This unique combination of industry experience and teaching expertise allows her to make meaningful contributions to both academia and the professional world.

Prior to joining the Zayed university, Serah has worked as Assistant Professor and has over 5 years of experience in teaching and administration.

Teaching Areas

Undergraduate Course: Introduction to Marketing & Fundamentals of Innovation and    Entrepreneurship  - College of Business, Zayed University, 

MKT210 course. This course introduces the theory and practice of marketing. Students will gain an understanding of major concepts and techniques used in marketing and have the opportunity to practice applying their knowledge in situations involving private and public sector organizations.

FYE 150 - Fundamentals of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where She integrate principles of literacy and innovation to equip students with the skills necessary for entrepreneurial success. This course provides a comprehensive approach to understanding innovation and entrepreneurship within the UAE's cultural and economic context.

Research and Professional Activities

Her research interests in marketing topics aim to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field and provide insights that can inform marketing strategies and practices in today's rapidly changing business environment. She is also interested in investigating the role of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, in shaping the future of marketing practices and consumer engagement.
