Bio

Dr. Ibrahim Bostan is as an Associate Professor of Finance at Zayed University. He began his tenure at Zayed university in August 2015, shortly after obtaining his PhD from Rutgers Business School. His doctoral thesis, titled "Essays on Innovation and Finance," marked the beginning of his in-depth exploration into the financial mechanisms supporting innovation.

His research excellence was early recognized when he received the competitive Dissertation Fellowship Award from Rutgers Graduate School in 2014. In the same year, his paper "Financing Innovation Through Minority Acquisitions" was also distinguished as the best paper in corporate finance at the Southern Finance Association Annual Meeting. This was followed by the Technology Management Research Center Award from Rutgers Business School in 2015, further highlighting his significant contributions to the field.

Dr. Ibrahim Bostan's notable work, "Do firms manage their share prices to mitigate investor short-termism?" has been published in the Journal of Corporate Finance, a highly respected finance journal, highlighting his valuable contributions to the discipline. His scholarly contributions extend to other top-tier finance and accounting journals including the International Review of Finance, International Review of Economics and Finance, Advances in Accounting, and the Journal of Contemporary Accounting & Economics, among others.
