Bio

Huma Imran is an experienced academic with over a decade of experience in teaching and research. Currently in the final year of her PhD at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai, her research focuses on cybersecurity risk management in the oil and gas sector, emphasizing the integration of technical and non-technical dimensions through a socio-technical approach.

She has taught a wide array of courses at Heriot-Watt University and Zayed University, contributing to curriculum development and student engagement. Huma integrates innovative pedagogical practices, including digital technologies and student-centered learning, to enhance the educational experience. In addition to her teaching and research, Huma serves as a peer reviewer for prominent academic journals and conferences, including those affiliated with Elsevier, the British Journal of Canadian Studies, and IEEE.
