Bio

Francisco Lagos is a Professor of Economics. He earned his PhD in Quantitative Economics at the University of Alicante. At the beginning of Professor Lagos’s career he was very focused on theoretical models. In particular, he was interested in analysing several aspects of public pension systems. Then he moved to a more experimental methodology to research about topics such as altruism, reciprocity, incentives in the labor market, discrimination, etc.

He has published over 20 articles in relevant journals such as American Economic Review, Games and Economic Behavior, Experimental Economics, Journal of Behavioral Economics and Organization, Economic Inquiry, Economica, Social Choice and Welfare, Journal of Populations Economics, etc. He has also actively managed several research projects from national and international institutions. Besides, along his career, he has received different awards for his excellence in teaching. He has 22 years work experience and prior to joining Zayed University he was working at the University of Granada (Spain).
