Bio
My academic journey reflects a unique intersection between business and education. With a foundation in Business Administration, I bring a strategic and entrepreneurial perspective to the field of education. This background informs my teaching of FYE 150 - Fundamentals of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where I emphasize the importance of innovative thinking and literacy as essential tools for navigating and succeeding in today’s multifaceted world. My course encourages students to explore how literacy, in its broadest sense, fosters innovation and entrepreneurial success across various arenas of life, including educational, cultural, and social settings.
My research focuses on literacy practices among children and youth, particularly within educational, cultural, and social environments. My dissertation investigates the ecological literacy practices of UAE college students, examining how they leverage various resources and teaching strategies to enhance their learning experiences. Additionally, I am in the process of publishing segments of my dissertation, contributing to the broader discourse on innovative teaching, curriculum development, and literacy practices.
