Bloomberg Finance Lab

In 2019, Zayed University and Bloomberg, a multinational financial information and technology business, announced the establishment of the Bloomberg Finance Lab at the university's campuses in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Zayed University is now part of a network of over 800 universities globally that have access to Bloomberg Terminals or Finance Labs. Zayed University has 64 Bloomberg Terminals spread across campuses in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, making it the university with the highest number of Terminals available to students and academics in the Middle East.

The Bloomberg Terminal service is a comprehensive solution that offers real-time and historical data, market-moving news, and analytics to assist business and financial professionals in making well-informed investment decisions. The service includes execution platforms for all types of assets, research tools, and a secure global communication network.

The Bloomberg Finance Lab will assist undergraduate and graduate students in developing the necessary skills for a career in finance.. College of Business students will be able to utilize Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC), an e-learning certification course, and CFAPRO, a database that links the CFA Institute Candidate Body of Knowledge to more than 387 relevant Bloomberg Terminal functionalities.

Undergraduate and master's students are trained in utilizing the Bloomberg Terminal while they take courses in investment, risk, and portfolio management. The laboratory is also available for use by the university's academic community for research endeavors.
