Bio
Shereef Ellaboudy joined Zayed University in August of 2010 as an Assistant professor in Economics. Prior to joining Zayed University, Dr. Ellaboudy worked as an assistant professor at the University of Dubai and as an adjunct professor at the California Polytechnic State University, Pomona California USA where he taught international relations, economics and politics of the Middle East. Dr. Ellaboudy is a regular economic commentator on CNBC TV and a member of the United Nations “ Principal of Responsible Management Education”. From 1997 to 2002, Dr. Ellaboudy worked professionally in the telecommunication industry as a program manager at Accelerated Networks and as a senior system engineer at Concentric Networks in California, USA. His Education is from The American University, Cairo (BA), California State University Los Angeles (MA), Claremont Graduate University, California USA (PhD) in Economics and Political Science.
Dr. Ellaboudy area of specialization is macroeconomics and international political economy. He has wide research interests in the areas of sustainable economic development, food and economic security, economic and monetary integration, global competitiveness and stock market development. He primarily teaches micro and macroeconomics, money and banking, quantitative methods, managerial economics, labor economics, international economics, and international political economy.
