Bio

Dr. Rodney Redding is an associate professor of accounting. His academic background includes undergraduate, masters and PhD degrees in accounting Pennsylvania State University. Professional work experience prior to his doctoral work included both accounting and marketing work with Price Waterhouse and IBM. He is a Certified Public Accountant but has elected inactive status. Academic positions have included associate professor and director of the school of accounting at the University of Utah, and he has served on the accounting faculty at the University of North Carolina, Bucknell, Georgetown, Gettysburg, Elon, and the American University of Sharjah. Most recently, he has been spending the majority of his time writing materials for and conducting continuing education seminars around the world for practicing accountants, while also teaching at Georgia State University. Presently, he is acting as a consultant to the Financial Accounting Standards Board on the development of educational materials for their website to assist non accounting users in understanding financial reports and the role of financial reporting. Professor Redding teaches financial accounting, for which he has received several awards over the years.
