Bio

Robyn Albers has been a faculty member at Zayed University since 2006. She was recognized as an exemplary faculty member for the academic year of 2010-2011.

She has taught Business Communication and English as a Second Language in innovative ways.  Her recent interests involve “flipping the classroom”, in which students listen and read class material outside of class and do practical activities in the classroom.  She embraces technology’s impact on education and encourages students to use business communication in their everyday lives. 

One of the ways that she helps students acquire business skills is through service learning.  The students identify various needs in their communities and use their business communication skills to make their community a better place. 

Robyn has enjoyed working and living in South Korea, Taiwan, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.  The variety of intercultural communication experience has richly has enhanced her approach to teaching.
