Bio
Rawia is an Assistant Professor in Management. Prior to coming to UAE, Rawia had teaching and research experiences in both Canada and in the United States. Further, she also had industry experience in several sectors like the Health care, tourism, banking, and education in several countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Germany. Rawia earned her bachelor of commerce degree from Alexandria University and graduated with honors. Later, she earned her Master in Business Administration from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada, and her PhD from the University of Texas at El Paso in the USA. Dr. Rawia’s research pipeline is ongoing with current journal publications and many conference presentations in the United States and internationally such as Society for Industrial Organization (SIOP), Western Academy of Management, Eastern Academy of Management, and Midwest Academy of Management to name some. Her recent paper “Scale development and validation of organizing tensions: Paradox Theory perspective” received best paper award at the recent ICOM conference held in Abu Dhabi, June 2-4th, 2019.
