Perla Mardini is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the College of Business since August 2020. She studied Accounting at the University of Balamand (BSc, 2012), and subsequently completed her MBA degree at the Lebanese American University (MBA, 2014). She also holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Manchester (PhD, 2020). During her PhD studies, Perla has delivered accounting courses at the undergraduate level at the University of Manchester, and has participated in key accounting seminars and conferences across the UK and Europe.

Her current areas of research are global financial regulation, the development of accountancy professions in developing countries, capacity building, and accountancy education.
