Bio
Dr. Osama joined Zayed University in August 2001 as an Assistant Professor in Accounting in the College of Business Sciences. Since then he has been promoted to Associate Professor in the Summer of 2009. Osama earned his doctorate degree in Economics and Accounting Information Systems from Middle Tennessee State University in 1995, a Mater of Science in Accounting from University of New Haven in 1992, and a Bachelors of Science in Finance from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1988. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma (Business Honorary Fraternity). In addition, Osama has been admitted to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as a CPA in May 1992, to the Institute of Internal Auditors as a CIA in May 1995 and to the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants as CA in May 1999. Before joining Zayed University Osama spent six years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Toronto Canada, as a Manager within the Project Finance and Privatization unit where he gained extended consulting experience ranging from public and private corporations to sovereign governments. He has been the college of business internship coordinator from 2001 to 2010 and he served on the university Employment Action Committee which coordinates the university’s graduate employment efforts among its colleges.

Research and Professional Activities
His main research interests are in financial analysis & modeling, outsourcing and privatization, corporate finance, internal and external auditing, socioeconomic project, and accounting information systems. He recently was seconded for six months as an Expert to the Internal Audit Department at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.
