Bio

Ghulam Mujtaba Mian is Professor of Finance at Zayed University. He has previously served as Associate Dean of College of Business and Chair of Department of Finance. Before moving to Zayed University in 2015, he was Associate Professor (with tenure) at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Assistant Professor at National University of Singapore. He obtained his PhD from University of Sydney.

His research focuses on issues related to stock market and behavioral finance. His work has been published in premier journals such as Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial & Quantitative Analysis, and Accounting Review, and presented at the annual meetings of the American Finance Association and European Finance Association.

Professor Mian has received several teaching awards, and has extensive experience of conducting training sessions for senior corporate executives and civil servants in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. He also co-managed the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which was a flagship program of the university and provided research training to senior executives in the Greater China region.
