Bio

John Rice joined Zayed University’s College of Business as Professor of Strategic Management in August 2017 and was appointed Interim Dean in August 2018. Australian born, he has previously worked at a number of Australian universities and has taught from undergraduate to doctoral levels in Europe, North America and Asia. He has served as a consultant in a variety of industries including telecommunications, water and transport infrastructure.

John is an active researcher in the areas of sustainability, innovation and human resource management issues – especially as these intersect with business strategy. An up to date list of his publications can be seen here.

John’s family of his wife and three teenage kids live with him in Abu Dhabi. They all enjoy travelling, watching and playing sports and encountering new people and cultures.
