Bio

Sarah Weber is an Abu Dhabi-based artist and educator. After the completion of her MFA at Virginia Commonwealth University, she moved to the UAE and has been teaching in higher education in the country since 2012. She is a multi-disciplinary artist who manipulates materials by layering, dissecting, and reassembling to create new meanings and narratives related to immersion in the unfamiliar. Underpinning her practice is the desire to discover cross-cultural interconnectedness through seemingly disparate ideas, objects, methods, and materials. Her recent explorations involve the landscape and its influence on identity and sense of belonging. She has exhibited both locally and internationally.
