Salmah AlMansoori

Bio

Salmah Almansoori is a multidisciplinary artist based in Abu Dhabi, born in Ghayathi, Aldhafra in 2001. Her work explores identity through the lenses of place, time, and memory, using a variety of media including painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, and site-specific installations. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Art from Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, in 2023.

Research and Professional Activities

Salmah Almansoori has exhibited her work extensively, both in solo and group exhibitions locally and internationally. Her most recent solo exhibition, Memories Are Home, took place at Cala Del Forte in Ventimiglia, Italy. She has participated in group shows such as Rizq Art Initiative, Abu Dhabi (2024); Firetti Contemporary, Dubai (2024); Duplex AIR, Portugal (2024); NYC CRIT CLUB, New York (2024); and Manarat Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi (2023).

Almansoori has also taken part in several artist residencies and mentorship programs, including the Mentorship Programme by Cultural Foundation, Abu Dhabi (2024); I’m Nobody, Iceland (2023); The Canopy Program, New York, USA (2023); and Samt Alternative Art School Residency Program, Dubai (2022). Other residencies include MANGO Residencia Para Artistas, Argentina, and Puertas Adentro, Casa de Artista, Uruguay (2022).
